angels

The times were dark,

And I were forlorn,

Engulfed by an ocean of misery,

Struck by the grief of death,

Ever so weak was I,

Like a withering flower,

In the depths of despair.

Unaided I fought the engulfing ocean,

Unaccompanied I traversed it,

Sought I the treasured chest,

Even with a foe I went abreast,

Day in and day out; here and there,

The voyage continued leading me nowhere.

Lost I was in the vast expanse,

Defeated in every battle.

Time was flying by,

And I was losing ground.

It was then, a lightning struck,

From heaven those angels came,

Calling themselves ‘TRENDSETTERS’ by name.

They took in this abandoned baby,

And looked after it like a precious ruby.

They taught me how to walk,

They taught me how to talk,

They taught me how to run,

They taught me life was nothing but fun.

It was a new life, a new path, a new journey,

That I began to travel,

Every moment I was with them,

I began to marvel.

Do they call it luck?

Do they call it destiny?

I began to wonder

As I suddenly was having such a good company.

To all you angels,

who made my life bliss.

You have taken away all my strife,

All I can say in return,

Is that I owe you my life.
